Grab began as a taxi-hailing app in 2012, but has extended its product platform to include private car services (GrabCar), motorcycle taxis (GrabBike), social carpooling (GrabHitch) and last mile delivery (GrabExpress).

GrabPay is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grab with operations spanning across South East Asia countries that Grab is in. Our aim is to make GrabPay the default mobile payment wallet in the region, serving Grab users, drivers & merchant partners by having high quality payment product lines and satisfying our customer with outstanding service quality.
Through the GrabPay platform, we seek to help unbanked mobile first users and merchants to build opportunities for themselves, while delivering trusted & safe payment systems to Southeast Asia.
We are looking for a business owner for our Consumer Business to join our GrabFinancial team :
Working with top management to get necessary buy-in & resources
Define objectives and key metrics for the business (TPV, Revenue, MAU, etc)
Overall person in-charge for all consumer products (e.g. All Grab products, Airtime / Bill pay / in-app purchases) P&L & overall sustainability
Gatekeeper for pricing & costs
Strategize local executions, by placing OKRs for local team and if needed hire local specialists see through end-to-end execution
Understanding competitive landscape and define launch strategies
Support and assist local markets to launch new products & services
Responsible for the success for all markets
Whenever relevant, support Business development effort for regional deals
Building up overall product & business strategies that’ll help GFG win the market
Validating product - market fit for specific product lines
Help product team with prioritisation, and which area to focus on
Building business cases to justify specific business asks
Giving inputs to product team to help build things that consumers and our Grab stakeholders love.
End result : Building things that are relevant, cutting-edge and provide out-most value to our customers.
Ideal candidate will have some of these traits :
Have 5 - 10 years of experience running a P&L
Been through the process of building a business from scratch
Experience dabbling into product development
Clear display of leadership, able to articulate his / her thoughts well
Prior work experience in South East Asia markets is preferred
Worked within the fin-tech or payments industry
Bachelors of Science in Business / Finance or MBA preferred
Candidate will be spending 30 - 50% of the time travelling across SEA
Great at solving complex issues
