The Compliance Anti Money Laundering Risk Management Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for recommending / establishing internal procedures to prevent money laundering and assist in all matters concerning financial crimes in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team.
The overall objective is to utilize established disciplinary knowledge to identify inconsistencies in data or result and formulate strategic recommendations on policies, procedures, and practices.
Identify, vet and address potential risks or escalated issues with the assistance of functional partners and key stakeholders
Communicate with internal entities to incorporate findings of the AML control program
Utilize information from regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to further identify new key risk areas
Analyze comparative data, prepare and present reports related to AML risk assessments, and monitor AML related issues and escalations
Create and develop AML Compliance Risk Management (ACRM) standards and policies
Synthesize / analyze risk information and advise / recommend on a plan of action
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
To conduct AML investigations in line with the FIU Operating Procedures and local directives.
To file Suspicious Activity Reports in line with the local requirements and regulations.
To ensure regulatory as well as regional timelines are observed in conducting AML investigations and on filing Suspicious Activity Reports.
To identify anomalous activity through the transactional reviews to identify potential risk to senior management on a timely basis.
To coordinate with various units of the Bank to identify other relationships of customers being investigated.
To work closely with other business partners including Relationship managers, CSIS, GIU and Business Controls to assist in AML investigations.
To ensure timely submission of MCA and data points required by region and global teams.
Completion of all post BAU activities within given turnaround time.

Understanding of AML Monitoring Processes.
Knowledge and understanding of compliance / AML policies and standards.
Knowledge of banking regulations.

Effectively works under pressure.

Good knowledge of English and high standard of written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated initiative and creativity in problem solving.
2-5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, legal, risk, audit, finance experience in another foreign bank or a large local bank.
Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and regulations preferred
Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
Good understanding of Windows applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and Internet & commercial database searches
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s Degree / University degree or equivalent experience
Banking / Finance / Business background
Various training courses on banking products, Risk Management, Compliance, AML
