1. Deliver Growth :
a. Leads and coordinates the AOP process planning & execution for total nationwide procurement : Identifying and vetting productivity projects, development of the Annual Plan and monthly forecast price update, alignment of key stakeholders, development of resource plans, and timing for execution.
b. Drive 5% of compressible spend year-on-year reductions in conversion, freight and value engineering. Reduce costs year on year net of inflation and quality investments.
c. Monitor, perform supply risk assessment to identify alternative supply sources and implement BCP plan to assure supply continuity to support business growth.
2. Create Efficiency :
a. Deliver competitive advantage. Lead the team to execute and provide procurement support to ensure cost effective supply to meet AOP objectives and contribute directly to the company’s P&L.
b. Drive and develop a productivity pipeline to ensure competitive cost.
c. Manage supplier base to deliver competitive pricing.
d. Responsible for developing sustainable short and long-term strategic procurement plans to meet set AOP
e. Responsible to influence development of strategy creation
f. Communicate Procurement strategies, involve cross-functional support to deliver Procurement strategies & implementation plans.
g. Collaborate with other PepsiCo markets to ensure costs benchmark favorably.
h. Extend supplier payment terms for all procurement in scope spend.
i. Optimize material specifications through understanding the levers that drive cost in the supply chain by taking a holistic view
j. Lead cross functional teams to drive ingredient value re-engineering ideation and execution.
k. Effectively communicate and work with relevant stakeholders to drive and implement sourcing and productivity strategy.
l. Identify and deliver value engineering opportunities
m. Maximize the performance of suppliers to ensure they deliver sustainable productivity and competitive advantage through the execution of their contractual obligations.
Develop and implement structured supplier performance reviews and key performance indicators for categories managed. Manage compliance to the contract terms and obligations through quarterly performance reviews with local procurement, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams.
3. Innovation & optimized supply chain :
a. Drive and develop opportunity through sourcing strategy, packaging / ingredient optimization, alternative materials.
b. Work with functions to develop new goods and services as required to meet business innovation needs
c. Scan supply base for new innovations, and ensure relevant ones are communicated into business for potential leverage
4. Risk reduction :
a. Deliver Business Continuity Planning and Supplier Code of Conduct programs to manage supply and social risks within the supply chain.
b. Ensure sufficient capacity is in place within the supplier base to meet current & anticipated business needs at the required quality level.
c. Responsible in overseeing the resolution of any supply quality, availability, and cost issue within procurement scope.
d. Consistently build and maintain effective relationship with key strategic suppliers to ensure company has the preferred customer status in a limited supply situation.
e. Manage commodity risk in line with relevant global Playbooks
f. As a process owner for P2P process, lead the GCS agenda in accordance with PepsiCo Accountability model by building GCS capability, ensuring robust risk assessment, quarterly GCS testing by Control Owners.
Assess key control effectiveness and ensure gaps, as identified in quarterly testing and corporate audit, are remediated on a timely basis.
Maintain process documentation that is complete and accurate and main a strong control environment in Procurement function.
5. Build organization capability & team engagement :
a. Staff, onboard, train and retain procurement talents
b. Clarify roles, set performance standards and goals, assess performance & provide feedback to team
c. Develop team structure to ensure clear roles & responsibilities are in place, at the right levels to deliver procurement agenda including local implementation of COE strategies
d. Coach and develop functional capability of the team through relevant training
e. Role model PepsiCo values and create a motivating and rewarding work environment
f. Ensure right systems and processes are in place to deliver procurement priorities
g. Lead and drive team engagement through OHS action plans.
6. Drive Future Success :
a. Transform the key category in Vietnam through strategy ownership, and supplier development and work with COE to unlock the next generation of technology investments by the suppliers in the markets and build a cohesive regional supply base
b. Proactively explore and apply best practices from other market to strengthen and nourish a sustainable ingredient supply base.
c. Leads and performs analysis of Customer segmentation and Customer value offer strategies to develop incremental growth.
