Lead the development of new and innovative technologies and processes in the manufacturing of footwear that bring cutting edge advantage for the adidas Group in terms of manufacturing efficiency, quality consistency and additional value on products.
Drive actively collaboration with machinery vendors, technology vendors, footwear suppliers and adidas Group Operations teams to successfully implement these technologies into mass production.
Key Responsibilities :
Contribute to and support the development of the adidas Group Manufacturing Excellence technology strategy, including factory roll out plans and brand categories adoptions roadmaps.
Evaluate current technical manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for gains in manufacturing efficiency by use of new technologies and automation systems.
Lead new technology development successful first season pilot production and ensure smooth transfer to LO & LO based Manufacturing Excellence teams for further implementation according to roll out strategy.
Ensure all projects follow proper project management methodology and that project sponsors and all key stakeholders are updated on a regular basis.
Ensure that SOP, best practice manual, product design & engineering guidelines and other relevant documents are completed on time and to support smooth technology implementation and understanding to adopt production construction for full utilization.
Build platform for knowledge transfer throughout the adidas-Group organization and supplier groups. (BPM, Training Material, News bulletin, etc.
supplier summits, exchange meetings, etc.)
Lead and manage cross functional events, summits, exchange meeting, workshops and training sessions with all internal and external stakeholders.
Exchange and collaborate with adidas Future team, adidas Advanced Team and Sourcing MI Teams on new technologies and process requirements.
Partner with machine manufacturers and attend industry trade fairs to keep educated on industry technology development which will impact productivity.
Summarize and present advancements in technologies to related adidas Group Management.
Collaborate actively with peers across other sourcing location, exchange ideas & best practice examples and adopt best practices within area of responsibility.
Liaise with Manufacturing Excellence Apparel and A&G team to identify synergies in innovation and automation for future cost mitigation opportunities.
Collaborate effectively with Brand Operations, Marketing & Design team to define technologies and processes that meet the future business needs of the adidas Group.
Lead and manage Technology Development team and provide coaching / training / mentoring in alignment with adidas people strategy and high performance team culture.
Drive and review business / personal development objectives / career planning for subordinates within the structured of adidas performance management system and people development system through formal and in informal discussions.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
University degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering subject.
5+ years working experience in automation industry or related field.
Experience in leading and managing cross functional projects.
Experience in multinational companies
