One main focus of Bosch Automotive Steering R&D activities is using specific software to connect components and create complete systems.
Today, Automotive Steering already generates around 60 percent of its sales with electric steering systems. A compact, locally developed, and particularly inexpensive steering for cars for Asian markets shows that the company offers more than just solutions for premium vehicles.

As a System Project Leader, you will play a crucial part of team to contribute to these activities :
Implement the technical customer strategy according to plan
Maximize the Bosch Steering platform content in the design and implementation of the technical customer strategy
Define targets for all simultaneous engineering team associates which are assigned to the customer account
Create rules and conditions for the optimal / efficient execution of tasks and procedures. Support Chief Customer engineer / Acquisition Manager during acquisitions for system architecture, timing and Budget (Lead Engineer covers SW / HW / Mech PL role)
Align and support Support Chief Customer engineer in the definition of technical customer strategy
Develop and implement defined technical customer strategy in customer mainpath based on OEM requirements and Bosch Steering platform (e.
g. based on change control board decisions)
Support Chief Customer engineer / Program Global Director for risk management on customer account level
Align on the technical customer strategy, its implementation and work package definition with the Project Leader of Simultaneous engineering -Teams (SYS-PL, ME-PL, SW-PL, EE-HW-PL) and the regional responsible within the customer cluster
Review of Platform Roadmap and request to consider (future) OEM requirements in Platform Roadmap definition
Evaluate of Platform releases (e.g. completeness of artefacts, quality status)
Assess and do planning of technical requirements and estimation of effort with multi project relevance in the account
Consult OEM on technical discussions on multi project level in the account
Manage technical issues in customer account, in case the problem cannot be solved in the single project or has multi project relevance in the account
Manage development resources within the customer account
Qualifications
B.S or equivalent degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computing Engineering, Information Technology or related major
At least 5 years of experience in development within the discipline (SYS, ME, E / E-HW or SW)
Project management capability and experience
Hands-on professional leadership of cross functional teams
Customer focused product development included user and customer experience knowledge
Ability to moderate and negotiate with multiple stakeholders
Bosch Engineering Solutions : knowledge in product engineering processes, methods & toolboxes (e.g. certification of Leadership Focus Group)
Networking capability e.g. within Bosch Business Mobility product development
