Responsibilities of the Role

We are looking for someone who has multi-channel experience with expertise in programmatic, search and / or social. Aside from channel knowledge, leadership experience is a high priority.

Programmatic knowledge :

  • Can navigate the programmatic and ad tech ecosystem (included Google Ads and Facebook Ad Manager)
  • Understand the mechanics of programmatic buying
  • Knowledge across display, video and audio, mobile programmatic buying and planning capabilities
  • DSP in platform experience is desirable
  • Expert knowledge of ad ops and measurement requirements
  • Leadership skills :

  • Takes accountability for team and clients, and is solution orientated
  • Previously managed a team of channel specialists
  • Contributes to the development of operating models to create high performing specialist teams
  • Can inspire and motivate junior members of the team
  • Enthusiasm and want to develop to be a leader across performance channels
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to develop people and product

  • What you will need

  • 5-6+ years’ experience working in Performance function
  • Experience leading performance channels and client relationships
  • Current experience leading and developing teams of channel specialists
  • Experience establishing operational rhythms and processes to develop high standards of campaign excellence
  • Be a seasoned performance expert in either search, social or programmatic ecosystem, channel roles, planning and buying mechanics
  • Experience in creating channel strategies and media plans
  • Prior experience in platform across search, social or programmatic. Experience within other media channels such as SEO, CRO or mobile desirable
  • Extensive experience utilising 1P, 2P and 3P data for media targeting
  • Experience working with tools and systems to deliver and develop performance strategies and campaigns i.e DSPs, viewability, brand safety, data, tracking, creative and bid management
  • Knowledgeable of current digital media topics of interest and developments, able to develop a POV
  • Knowledgeable on ad ops and tag management
  • Ecommerce Platform understanding, offsite media traffic to Ecommerce platform performance is a plus
  • In three months

  • Establish client and team confidence in you as a leader of the area
  • Build a solid understanding of Mindshare’s strategic and client service offering
  • Establish solid relationship with all key stakeholders
  • In six months

  • Run a high performing and motivated team to hit and exceed client targets and expectations
  • Refine performance strategy and delivery for your client portfolio to exceed expectations and KPIs
  • Develop the teams broader view and technical capability across performance channels
  • Champion the performance product across the agency developing a positive individual and team profile
  • In twelve months

  • Be a trusted expert and leader of the Performance team raising your individual and team profile internally and externally
  • Proactively take the lead on performance initiatives to develop the team and product nationally
  • Increase client profitability through commercially focused plans and innovations
  • Play a lead role in new business pitches where Performance channels are involved
