About the Position

The Literature Program at Fulbright invites applications for two open-rank, full-time faculty members to begin in August 2023.

We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in early or pre-modern (pre-1800s) traditions or expertise across two or more cultures in a comparative sense.

Ideal candidates are committed to developing student-centered, high-quality pedagogy and contributing to an ambitious and rapidly growing undergraduate liberal arts program.

Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of effective teaching and an active research agenda.

Successful candidates will be asked to teach undergraduate courses (2-2 load) in their area of expertise and to contribute to core and foundations courses such as Global Humanities and Social Change, and Critical Methods in Literary Studies.

Literature Faculty may also advise graduating students in their capstone projects and are expected to actively participate in the general university community.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in Comparative Literature or related field desired, ABD considered.
