OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
To manage sales of Footwear, through independent, integrated or direct distribution in VN. The focus of this position is to lead a team to maintain profitable sales with the existing customer base while also gaining profitable sales growth through Customers / new business development.
To contribute and implement the strategic direction within VN and lead Taiwanese Transplant Team for VN business. Closely communicate with Footwear GKAM to monitor key activities and support the sales Team to prepare for the start of the production in VN, all activities in alignment to BASF Strategy - Customer Centric Organization and Performance Materials Regional Strategy.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
Develop a strategic business plan to achieve the sales growth required.
Work with the regional marketing team to establish effective strategy.
Develop a yearly sales and cost budget for Vietnam Footwear business.
Review with management team a business plan for independent, integrated or direct distribution in VN.
Determine overall direction and policy of Vietnam Footwear segment as member of the leadership team.
Manage cCM1, monitor pricing and advise on price increase.
Coordinate with sales team for demand planning, stock forecasting to secure reliable supply to customers.
Support the sales team with the process of value-added services.
Complete month end written summary report.
Work with the technical team to ensure all technical issues are followed up and technical training are developed to support and increase sales.
Review sales team quarterly performance and adjust with them accordingly.
Mentor and develop the team.
Ensure all operating costs are kept in line with the yearly budget.
Endorse and conduct an ongoing safety culture.
Follow all BASF Vietnam policies and processes.
Degree in Chemistry or Commerce
Managerial experience essential, at least 10 years sales and marketing experience
Four (4) to eight (8) years Footwear related experience
Experience in a multi-cultural environments
Good knowledge of PU systems / engineering plastics / TPU, technical know-how and applications as well as plastics parts and components manufacturing
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Effective communication skills in English, Chinese and Vietnamese
