We are looking for an excellent Engineering Manager to join our talented team of software engineers, research engineers, product managers, and QA in Hanoi.
You will work with the best software engineers from both Vietnam and Silicon Valley to build the next generation of Got It platform handling a massive number of sessions between askers and experts in multiple verticals.
In addition, you will help implement and integrate advanced machine learning algorithms and technologies to make the platform smart, efficient, and highly personalized.
Also, you will help make sure that the platform is not only scalable but also meets the high-quality bar to be deeply and seamlessly integrated with other large platforms in the education space.
The Core Job
Responsible for delivering tech products and services to meet the company’s business goals.
Work closely with Product Managers Technical Product Managers and other stakeholders to translate the product’s objectives into detailed engineering specifications to be developed by the engineering team.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies, consider the pros / cons of them as they relate to your area of responsibility, and be able to provide the most relevant solutions.
Develop a strong culture of software engineering best practices by putting processes and tools in place to ensure that quality standards of engineering deliverables are met and consistent.
Regularly participate in design reviews, and code reviews, and provide feedback to individuals and teams in order to continuously improve the quality of our products and techs
Contribute to the long-term technical vision and roadmap
Responsible for growing the engineering team in Vietnam including hiring, training, and retaining top talents.
Responsible for individuals’ personal development by keeping them engaged, growing their technical expertise, and meeting their career aspirations.
Be both a deep technical leader and a thoughtful people manager.
You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Sciences, IT, or related fields
Excellent leadership skills
At least 3 years of experience working in a similar position.
Ability to work both as a team leader and as an individual contributor including coding when needed.
Strong technical knowledge of large-scale software development, design, and architecture
Impressive problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a metrics-based, fast-paced, and dynamic team
Excellent English skills
Experience delivering large-scale mobile apps
