Job Description

This position performs communications function by supporting to strengthen employee engagement and enhance reputation of the company in Vietnam as Employer of choice and Social responsible company (corporate communications) and by enhancing visibility of key product growth drivers (therapeutic communications) in the public to deliver three strategic function priorities : to enable the business, to drive the company reputation and to build strategic communications.

Internal Communications : To build strategic communications

  • Lead the implementation of internal communications and employee engagement plans that enable effective and relevant leadership communications and deliver local priorities, which include but not limited to town hall, disease awareness months, ;
  • Conduct local CSR activities that are in line with corporate priorities and drive employee engagement, deliver impacts;
  • Interact with relevant internal departments, coordinate and support in content creation for internal communications, ensure content and the design are in line with the corporate brand guideline and provide support to key internal communications activities;
  • Serve as the point of contact and direct responsible individual for engagement with HR for executing and communicating global and regional programs / campaigns / initiatives in our company;
  • Execute thought leadership and communications plan for the Managing Director.
  • Corporate reputation : To drive company reputation

  • Express extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the corporate brand resources, company communications guidelines, policies and serve as the point of contact to consult business / supporting functions on proper and consistent use of brand guideline;
  • Support the execution of external communications initiatives and media campaigns to drive positive coverage and enhance reputation of the company in Vietnam as a partner of choice of targeted stakeholders, including but not limited to media, medical community, etc.
  • Support the process of implementing communications and media activities planning for the company; include but not limited to due diligence and agency management;
  • Adapt and tailor global or regional guidelines, core response documents for local use, and local education / cascade;
  • Other projects as assigned by External Affairs Director
  • Desired Experience / Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, business, journalism or relevant discipline preferred
  • At least 1 years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Progressive experience working in a public relations / communications or corporate affairs role
  • Excellent English communications, presentation and writing skills

  • Messaging Strategy & Development (applying) : The ability to create communications strategies, programs, and messages for a variety of audiences to support the company mission, growth strategy and business goals.
  • The ability to understand target audiences, develop key messages that reflect stakeholders' perspectives while advancing the goals of the business, and select the appropriate media and channels to deliver those messages.

    The ability to write messages to be communicated both in writing and verbally, and manage the planning, editing, review, and dissemination of communications and evaluation of audience feedback.

  • Program Development & Execution (applying) : The ability to design strategic programs, develop project plans, and garner support for the allocation of resources and teams.
  • Presents new approaches to communications and champions their adoption. The ability to develop and manage project budgets, identify and mitigate risks, demonstrate strong prioritization and time management skills, and measure results.

  • Public Health, Policy & Product Knowledge (applying) : Knowledge of the policy environment, industry and public health trends and the implications of each on the company business priorities.
  • Understanding of the company portfolio and services, lifecycle stages, recent innovations, and market position. The ability to articulate and understand the company corporate responsibility and public policy priorities and the impact these activities have on the company brand and reputation.

    Sub-functional competencies :

  • Agency & budget management (applying) : The ability to launch new business arrangements with agencies or creative partners, manage relationships through all phases of the contract, and ensure adherence to contractual performance metrics and relevant regulatory considerations.
  • The ability to analyze proposals, provide financial oversight to partner organizations, and manage the execution / implementation of communication campaigns through others.

    Provides agencies with adequate training and resources to ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures, including governing regulations.

  • Internal change communication & management (applying) : The ability to proactively guide an organization and the employees through exercises and activities that better position the organization to adopt and accept changes.
  • The ability to serve as a change champion, to align leaders and employees, engage them, minimize risks, and maintain an open dialogue / solid partnership to influence them to adopt and accept the change

  • Internal relationship and channels (applying) : The ability to understand, identify and build strategic relationships across the enterprise including, functions, divisions and regions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of varying cultural behaviors. Ability to effectively knowledge share and demonstrate emotional intelligence to help shape our organizational culture within the context of and in relation to our mission and strategy globally.

    Knowledge of traditional communications media and emerging technologies (e.g. town halls, digital, mobile and social media) and how to leverage these technologies to engage internal stakeholders both intellectually and emotionally.
