Job Description

  • Responsible for the sales of lab equipment and consumables with the objective to hit yearly sales target
  • Provide technical support to customer
  • Increase customer base and market share by keeping updated with current market information, changing trends and economic indicators
  • Create demand pull in the territory through cold-calling, targeted customer visits and maximizing the utilisation of marketing collateral
  • Developing relationships with customers and maximizing customer satisfaction without sacrificing profitability
  • Take lead for overall business opportunity for accounts allocated
  • Ensure thorough market coverage for territories assigned and develop a sub-dealer network
  • Retain a high level of technical and sales competence by keeping abreast with the latest techniques and development of the products
  • Ensure timely delivery of reporting and forecasting through utilisation of the company sales tools
  • Maintain a healthy relationships with suppliers by providing prompt and accurate feedback or updates and Constant discussions and update with immediate superior to ensure yearly sales target can be achieved
  • To cooperate with the Projects department when a turnkey solution is required by the customers.
  • Provide the assistance and advisory to application matters such as commissioning of equipment sold / marketed by the department.
  • To cooperate with the Tech service team on any customers requirements for technical support.
  • Participate with Service Engineers to ensure efficient product installation and services.
  • Job Requirements

    Functional skills and knowledge

  • Accomplished sales skills, demonstrates value as a supporting partner in the pre-sales process, while also independently driving sales throughout all stages of the sales process to meet sales targets
  • In depth knowledge of laboratory products
  • Experience in selling consumables
  • Education

    Degree or Masters in Science majoring in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Biochemistry or any relevant majors

    Work experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience selling laboratory instruments / INS or relebant sales experience
  • Soft skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels
  • Can communicate well in English
