We are currently looking for a Outcomes Lead, Performance E-commerce to join us.

Overview of job

In this role, you will be responsible for best-in-class design, development and implementation of Paid Search as well as Performance & Commerce campaigns across Pureplay, Omnichannel as well as D2C channels for Unilever.

You must be digitally ahead, connected, articulated, pro-active, and solution oriented. You will work within the Ultra Centre of Excellence team that is considered one of the best for learning opportunities and exploring new technologies in the ASEAN market.

You will get exposure of not only working with local client, but also working with the Regional hub as well as the Global team of Mindshare.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to Digital Strategy Lead Mindshare .

In three months :

  • Demonstrate full understanding of channel performance across performance commerce and paid search campaigns and get complete understanding of UL business layout.
  • Start to lead strategic discussions with client based on business objective.
  • Establish a great working relationship with the performance team & the integrated planning team
  • Ensure smooth operations with noticeable performance improvements across platforms
  • Thorough understanding of current framework and best practices
  • Optimize and implement best practice process and ways of working with the teams
  • Establish relationship with all e-retailers
  • Establish insights and analysis why certain campaigns work, identify success contributors and cascade these across campaigns
  • Gain the trust and respect of local client, and the internal team
  • In six months :

  • Strengthen the existing standardized operational effectiveness
  • Marked improvement in performance results across categories
  • Explore new solutions to market as they become available
  • Lead strategically & create best in class work out of Vietnam which could be taken to other markets.
  • In 12 months :

  • Full control of performance operations across all channels
  • Upskilled local agency team and clients; allowing them to independently manage strategic performance & commerce discussions including paid search
  • Paid Search Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Mindshare’s integrated planning team and client’s media team
  • Ensure aligned way of working and process getting implemented while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure all briefs have the required information, and highlight / feedback when needed
  • Design and develop annual always on and tactical plans
  • Develop Search Framework, Keyword Strategy, Budget Planning and Seasonality Allocation
  • Guide the team in Keyword Research, Setup, Delivery, Monitoring and Optimization as per agreed upon KPI with the client
  • Guide the team in developing campaign evaluations and capture learnings
  • Act as the SPOC for all Paid Search all conversations with client’s media team, Google, Mindshare regional and global team
  • Drive monthly catchup with the client’s media team and weekly catchup with Google solutions team
  • Share learning, recommendations, point of view, improvement and pilot opportunity across categories with the client’s media team
  • Provide advice and support integrated planning team across categories for managing their brand / category conversations
  • Translate global and regional cascades into action plan and ensure implementation across categories
  • Ensure aligned best practices are implemented across categories and campaigns
  • Manage paid search team’s workload across categories
  • Ongoing client servicing including but not limited to campaigns. Prompt response to client’s and internal queries related to paid search as and when required
  • Prepare team member’s development roadmap and ensure the team is equipped with Google trainings and certifications
  • Performance Commerce Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Mindshare’s integrated planning team, client’s media team and e-commerce team
  • Ensure aligned way of working and process getting implemented while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in multi-stakeholder conversations at client organization on e-commerce and assess realistic delivery of desired ambition on e-commerce contributions from media
  • Manage client’s expectation and course correct if required
  • Identify the optimum spend level by looking at the campaign calendar, benchmarks and e-retailer performance and provide input to client’s brand, media & e-commerce team
  • Share best practices on each e-retailer with the media team and provide input for implementation
  • Design and develop performance commerce plan for special days on e-retailer platforms working with the team
  • Guide the team in Setup, Delivery, Monitoring and Optimization as per agreed upon KPI with the client. Ensure efficiency and delivery are under control and meets the target KPI
  • Guide the team in developing campaign evaluations and capture learnings
  • Act as the SPOC for all performance commerce conversations with client’s media team, e-commerce team, e-retailers as well as Mindshare regional and global team.
  • Drive weekly catchup with the client’s media & e-commerce team

  • Share learning, recommendations, point of view, improvement and pilot opportunity across categories with the client’s media team
  • Provide advice and support integrated planning team across categories for managing their brand / category conversations
  • Translate global and regional cascades into action plan and ensure implementation across categories
  • Ensure aligned best practices are implemented across categories and campaigns
  • Manage performance team’s workload across categories
  • Ongoing client servicing including but not limited to campaigns. Prompt response to client’s and internal queries related to paid search as and when required
  • Identify new solutions, technology, products on e-commerce and drive pilots with a pirate mindset
  • Prepare team member’s development roadmap and ensure the team is equipped with latest trainings and knowledge on e-commerce
  • What you will need :

  • 6-10 years related experience in leading Performance Commerce as well as Paid Search
  • Digital performance all-rounder with proven experience and strong understanding of multiple digital media channels (online display, video, social, paid search, SEO etc.
  • as well as a passionate following of new / emerging channels & technologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, being able to confidently and clearly present to clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Hands on knowledge of tools such as Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Trends, Display & Video 360, The Trade Desk, as well as AdTech platforms such as Sizmek, MOAT, DoubleVerify, IAS, Grapeshot etc.
  • Knowledge of SEO and Data visualization tools such as Datorama, Power BI and Google Studio would be a plus.
  • High level numeracy and analysis skills, to be able to interrogate data and coming out with actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Team management and ability to communicate / share / develop digital planning and buying experience amongst other team members.
  • Strong Emotional Intelligence to navigate through complex and diverse structures, silo’s, and dynamics
  • A curious, driven, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial attitude to be able to work independently or to seek out the required solutions from elsewhere in the network
