Job Description
You will be joining a product development team as a software engineer focusing on front-end web development.
What you will be doing :
Ship and maintain the web front-end of Wego’s products.
Craft user experiences that work on devices that our users use (primarily mobile devices and desktop browsers).
Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution.
Help improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to technology, algorithms and products.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll need :
Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+).
Experience with React or a similar client-side framework.
Experience with automated testing of browser-based applications.
An understanding of design principles on the web.
To be a product-minded engineer who cares about the "Why" Why build this feature? Why does the team work in this way?
It will be great if you have :
Experience working in the Travel Tech industry.
Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR).
Familiarity with technologies we already use, including TypeScript, Next.js.
Familiarity with end to end testing frameworks.
