We are currently looking for suitably qualified candidate to fill up the following position of Deputy Manager - Interior Design


This position oversees the architectural design and construction efforts. Approve design specifications and develop purchase justifications for materials where necessary.

In preparation for the build phase, design managers review proposals and solicitations and coordinate with field personnel.

They also conduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes


A. Pre-Construction

1. Concept and Schematic Stage

The candidate will assist Project Director / Architecture Head with the following :

  • Coordinate with Appointed ID Consultants to come out with ID Concept design and presentation before seeking Management Approval for the Concept.
  • Follow up with Consultants from Approval ID Concept to develop to ID Schematic Design for Main Project as well as show unit, show Gallery when required.
  • Coordinate with Internal Cost & Contract (QS) team to manage the project cost within the approved budget.

  • Coordinate with Internal Sale & Marketing team to ensure all ID material (Sale brochure, Sale Specification, Show Gallery, Show Unit) ready for the project to be launched on time.
  • 2.Tender stage

    2.1 Pre-tender (Design Development)

    Design Development / Tender drawings and specifications :

  • Coordinate with Design Consultants (Architecture, C&S, M&E, ID, Landscape, Green Mark) on the preparation of tender drawings and specifications.
  • Weekly meeting with consultants on the preparation of detailed development drawings and specs.
  • Monitoring and chasing the status of drawing submissions.
  • heck and ensure all selected ID material is in compliance with Green Mark provision, Marketing Brief, and available in the local market.
  • Compile all comments and coordinate with Design Consultants for revision. Submit to Management for approval.
  • 2.2 Tender process

  • To Coordinate with Main Project Coordinator to ensure tender schedule within approval timeline. Coordinate with the QS team to check BoQ whether any missing items.
  • Coordinate the tender clarification and tender interview. Coordinate with the team and consultants to prepare for the evaluation of technical submissions of tenders.
  • 2.3 Contract drawings & Construction drawings :

  • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of Contract drawings to QS Consultants.
  • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of Construction drawings to the Contractor.
  • 2.4 Report :

  • Weekly update and report to management.
  • B. Construction

    Assist Project Director to clarify technical issues during the construction stage.

    Site inspection : Coordinate with QA / QC and Defect management team to check whether actual constructions are according to the design.

    C. Post-Construction

    Defect inspection : Review with QA / QC and Defect management team on defect list.

    D. Special Assignment

    ISO 14001 and IMS : Participate in WOC of ISO 14001 and IMS if any.

    Other tasks assigned by the manager

    Yêu Cầu Công Việc

    University Degree in Architecture (Building)

    At least 8 years of experience

    Be familiar with ID design, space planning for buildings, specifically residential, office or retail.

    Be familiar with ID material selection in terms of look and feel, and maintenance method statement.

    Good communication in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing)

    Effective communication and interpersonal skill
