The Chair of Engineering will spearhead the development and implementation of an undergraduate Engineering program designed for impact both internally at Fulbright and externally for Vietnamese society.
This significant undertaking will involve active, inspirational leadership of faculty, administrative staff, and students, along with excellent technical and curricular knowledge.
The position is expected to report directly to Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Chair of Engineering works with the Dean and Provost to design and develop the engineering program at Fulbright University Vietnam and provide effective oversight of curriculum and instruction.
The principal roles of the Chair are to ensure excellence in the engineering curriculum and pedagogy, to recruit and retain an outstanding engineering faculty, to oversee the ABET accreditation process for the program, and to teach within the Fulbright core curriculum and engineering program.
The Chair also provides support to the Dean and Provost on matters relating to undergraduate curriculum, program building, and partnership development.
Inquirers for this position should hold a Phd degree in Engineering and (previous) associate or full professorship, or equivalent, at accredited universities with strong experience in collaboration with the industry.
