Job Information

  • Take ownership for the entire project management process for assigned innovation projects, with an emphasis on quality and timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the applicable operating calendar.
  • Engineer workable prototypes which address the desired function, market appeal and manufacturability which meet company standards.
  • Ensure that new materials, concepts, and projects are engineered and developed to design and cost targets.
  • Clearly communicate all necessary information / coordinate all tasks that support on time ready to manufacture for all assigned projects.
  • Support the inception of complex footwear designs, components, processes, materials, and concepts into a manufacturable and marketable finished product.
  • Ensure that all materials, processes, and development samples are fully tested to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
  • Own full accountability for these projects key development milestones.
  • Develop footwear innovations based on product briefs or other direction from design sketch to commercialization handoff and ready for production.
  • Adheres to product development calendar, key dates, and milestones.
  • Creates prototype / samples. Manages the entire process to ensure high-quality results are achieved.
  • Communicates regularly and clearly with appropriate team members across multiple depts and offices, to ensure all innovations are developed in keeping with brief specs and goals.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors research, choose and / or develop brand-appropriate materials and components.
  • Manage costing results for various projects.
  • Manage multiple assignments.
  • Create, implement, lead and manage footwear test plans.
  • Build new relationships, promote teamwork and cross-functionally communicate effectively and efficiently with Developers, -
  • Designers, material team, production team.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of footwear development experience.
  • 10 +yrs of related work experience in the footwear industry.
  • Experience analyzing trends and making recommendations.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Ability to understand 2D images in 3D. Make recommendations for productivity, performance, and fit.
  • Fluent English.
  • MS office skills, good communication skills.
  • Exposure to the latest in footwear materials, components, processes, and concepts.
