Function This role sits in commercial function and lead Customer Marketing team to initiate programs consistent with the Commercial strategies.

In addition, you would also be responsible for the team and talent development in assigned sub - function About the Role As the Customer Marketing & Capability Manager, you'll have the opportunity to grow our business holistically Commercial annual plan, Trading term & Trade program management, A&P and Super margin budget monitoring, annual training plan deployment You would be responsible for developing the strategies and supervising the execution of Commercial plans to consistently deliver Sales, distribution, execution quality within approved budgets & resources.

You would lead Customer Marketing team in planning, coordinating, monitoring company and customer initiated programs consistent with the Commercial strategies.

In addition, you would also be responsible for the team and talent development in assigned sub - function Commercial annual plan : work out detailed off & on channel plans with clear AOP target broken down by SKU by month by customer in the collaboration with Regional Business Managers / Channel Heads / Commercial Director.

Ensure that the Company and Commercial strategies are cascaded to respective teams and utilize monthly Commercial meetings to monitor progress, identify opportunities, and determine necessary actions Channel teams have relevant brand and portfolio information and tools to develop customer and market plans across categories, get market information necessary to manage brand & channel performance Stakeholder management : maintain and nurture strong, influential partnerships with Vendors / Distributor / Customers through regular engagements with decision makers, business reviews, planning sessions, trade visits, and other meetings as needed to grow their satisfaction Brand & Business Development : work closely with Marketing team for the alignment of brand strategies by channel / occasion, oversee Sales team’s efficient and effective execution / implementation of trade programs, 365 Essentials, and promotions in the covered stores.

Ensure that the team meets standards set in the Commercial annual plans / scorecards Market Intelligence : coordinate Sales team’s effort to obtain market & competitor information relevant to the development of category and channel strategies and tactics Resource Management : ensure the appropriate allocation and disbursement of channel budgets, the evaluation of their usage with proper M&E processes according to company policies Coordinate with HRBP and regional team to deploy annual training courses to Commercial team to improve their capabilities and selected competencies People Development : responsible for sub function organizational health and individual team member’s performance and development, able to identify both team and individual learning priorities, and partner with HR for resourcing the appropriate interventions Policy and Process Compliance : ensure the team’s compliance to all Commercial policies, company regulations, standards, guidelines Experience required / Skills / Capabilities / Languages At least 6 years of running Customer Marketing and or Brand Marketing jobs in big FMCG companies Sales or strong commercial experience a plus Cross functional team management / leadership a must Proven leadership and management of teams Requires excellent communication and influencing skills using tact, patience and courtesy Considerable drive, energy, leadership and focus to sufficiently energize the internal and external resources of the company to execute Creative, eye for detail Flexibility to adapt to changing environment and market conditions Diversity statement Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of celebrating life every day everywhere .
