The primary role is to handle and manage all aspects of the health, safety and environment of the projects to ensure the safety and welfare ofemployees and others who may be affected by construction operations
Key accountabilities :
Ensure adequate distribution and communicating of HSE policies and procedures to all involved in project construction
Provide HSE leadership and operational support to all levels of the business and construction involved companies
Ensure that an adequate programme of training for HSE is established and that the safety culture is encouraged amongst Employees and all involved.
Set a personal example at all times by using the correct PPE and following all HSE requirements and procedures
Assess the existing HSE procedures and provide areas of improvement.
Work closely with project teams on special / delicate construction tasks and activities to ensure safely performance.
Assist in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving implementation of preventative actions
Ensure Emergency Response Systems, and Procedures are in place to manage emergency situations
Maintain current knowledge of all applicable HSE regulations
Prepare and supervise HSE audits and ensure strict implementation of HSE policies
Follow up closure of HSE audits findings
Review weekly and monthly HSE Report submitted by project teams.
Prepare Weekly HSE Reports indicating various HSE matters pertaining to projects for review of BOD
