As a Level Designer, youll utilize gameplay mechanics, narrative beats, and artistic direction to create fun levels for our players to solve and accomplish.
Conceptualizing, designing, building, and scripting bespokelevels;
Designing and implementing areas of the game including layout, character placement, objectives, and other gameplay-related entities;
Collaborating with the Lead Designer and Game Designers to contribute engaging ideas towards all aspects of game design;
Collaborating with other Level Designers to define and refine level layouts, creating a fun, satisfying, and polished level design flow;
Working closely with the narrative andart departments to conceive and design environments that are innovative and visually impressive;
Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and enhance the development of tools and processes used in building our levels.
As an experienced Level Designer, you understand what makes for good gameplay. You are empathic and a good communicator in English (our company language), which allows you to clearly outline your ideas, collaborate with your peers, and develop strong relationships.
Besides the above were looking for someone aligned withand the following skills and experience :
Provenprofessional experience with Level Design within at least one game production released;
Extensive Level Design knowledge and principles, ideally level-based oriented;
Ability to design game levels utilizing 3D tools (e.g. Unity, UnrealEd, Maya, Max or similar 3D editors), and to AAA quality;
A degree in Game / Level Design, a similar field, or the equivalent work experience.
Previous experience with scripting tools(e.g. Kismet / Blueprints, Bolt, and / or Snowdrop) is a plus;
Some skills in staging the absurd in a quirky humoristic tone is a plus (show us how funny you can be);
