KEY OUTPUTS :

1. Solution architect

  • Gather business and system requirements from users, and assist users in defining requirements and suggest ideas.
  • Design solutions that balance user requirements and development capabilities.
  • Co-ordinate with relevant parties to compose Business Requirement Specs (BRS), System Requirement Specs (SRS) documents and related Diagrams, Templates, Test Cases and other documents when necessary.
  • Make sure that all related parties understand clearly and agree on composed documents.
  • Carry out application testing before releasing to end-users to make sure developed applications function correctly as per user requirements.
  • Compose user manuals / training materials and provide trainings and production support to related parties.
  • Investigate production issues and liaise with related parties to resolve.
  • 2. Project management

  • Manage new requirements and update requests as required by related parties. Make sure all requests are prioritized correctly and planned in accordance with company’s business plan and strategies.
  • Make detailed plan for each project with clear milestones, oversee execution of projects and manage related parties including vendors to ensure project timeline.
  • Timely report to higher managers project statuses, difficulties and obstacles.
  • 3. Optimization

  • Co-operate with internal and external parties to study new technologies and solutions that can be applied to existing and new systems.
  • Suggest optimized business processes required to fulfill business requirements and maximize existing systems’ capabilities.
  • 4. Others

  • Proactively share ideas to improve software development activities.
  • Other tasks as assigned by higher managers and other office work as required by the company.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Banking & Finance.
  • Other degrees / certificates in related fields is a plus.
  • SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE :

    1. Business analysis (software) :

  • Ability to easily understand and catch up quickly with various business processes / rules or new products in finance or insurance domain.
  • Ability to make sound solution designs that balance user expectations and development capabilities, while not compromising project timelines.
  • Being able to compose documents for financial or insurance products / processes that are clear, consistent and easy to follow.
  • Being able to communicate complex technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of the software project development life cycle, process and methodology.
  • 2. Communication :

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.
  • Fluency in English, especially written.
  • 3. Others :

  • Adaptive to new and emerging technologies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and highly organized.
  • Be able to perform independently and in a team.
  • Be able to negotiate with partners.
  • Proficient in Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • At least 3 years in a directly relevant role with proven successes.
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with financial or insurance systems and multi-provider systems is required.
  • Experience in core insurance systems is a plus.
  • Experience in retail business or e-commerce is a plus.
