General Mission

In agreement with the Beverage Manager, the Head Barkeep participates in the selection of Beverage (alcoholic beverage, cocktails, no alcoholic cocktails, soft drinks, teas) for the Main bar and Tea lounge and cooperative support to the Food & Beverage department.

Assist the Beverage Manager to supervise and manage all day-to-day Piano Bar areas operations, creation of a fix order of rotation (ROTA) and management of manpower within operation.

force of proposal and creation in order to improve the Cocktail program, bar program, services and ensures the good maintenance of the ratio drinks of the department.

provides a high personalized service to our customers, advises and guides them in their choice of all beverages (in cooperation with sommelier - Wines).

Is responsible for the development and support of the Piano Bar team.

May be required to train employees or students on spirits, cocktails, order of bar service for the catering department as well as for clients of Capella Bangkok.

Responsibilities:

  1. Is responsible for the quality of service and services delivered to our customers.
  2. Take responsibility for stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation.
  3. Is responsible for monitoring the management of customer complaints as well as good guest relation and individual experience.
  4. Participates in the development of benefits and the adjustment of pricing strategies.
  5. Maintain/improve connection and relations with Beverage companies, brand ambassadors as well as suppliers within hospitality industry.
  6. Participates in monitoring the quality, updating and development of marketing tools in bar sector (Bar/cocktail menu program, constant improvement of team member's beverage/service knowledge, representation of the Capella Bangkok within industry events, other various events ...)
  7. Study the competition market. Constant improvement of beverage knowledge and following new mixology and hospitality trends.
  8. Is responsible for the quality and maintenance of the equipment and premises of the service.
  9. With approval from Beverage Manager - as Ambassador of Capella Bangkok, Head Barkeep can provide mixology/beverage presentations and masterclasses within the hotel, other party F&B outlets, or in schools.
  10. In order to ensure quality customer service and follow-up, it may be necessary to assist and / or replace colleagues in some of their duties, in any department.
  11. Ensures and / or supervise the administrative management of the service (menus, cocktail recipes collateral and track, beverage collateral and track, mail, email, glitch, operating procedures, ...)
  12. Is responsible for monitoring and compliance of budgets related to his outlet (financial objectives, budgets, cost management, stock management, etc. ...).
  13. Participates in the implementation and monitoring of schedules taking into account the forecasts of the activity of the hotel and local.
  14. Is responsible for the quality, maintenance and management of equipment inventory and merchandise.
  15. Is co-responsible for the organization and daily coordination of the service.
  16. Participate in daily, weekly and / or monthly meetings when invited.
  17. Is responsible for good communication and coordination within and between services (instructions, briefings, relational ...).
  18. Organize and co-host the monthly briefings and meetings of his department.
  19. Participates in the recruitment, training, development and coaching of the team.
  20. Ensures the application of the standards and procedures of service in force in Capella Bangkok.
  21. Guarantees compliance with the rules of hygiene, safety and working conditions established within Capella Bangkok.
