The Head of HSSE is responsible to work with respective functional stakeholders & leaders, to upkeep the workplace health and safety & security standards with the aim of zero incidents.
As part of the Leadership Team, the role is also required to define Sustainability framework for the organization & establish best-in-class practices, incorporating voice / needs of our customers.
Drive HSSE Practices
Work with HSSE team to drive and maintain the HSSE management system, define best HSSE practice, support initiatives from regional and promote its application, consistently, across all facilities.
Monitor, analyze and report the HSSE performance and define benchmarks, continual improvement and preventive actions.
Ensure all facilities comply with local regulations and international standards requirements.
Act as the company representative with the authorities providing advice and guidance on the implementation of initiatives to meet legislation standards, corporate guidance and statutory requirements.
Responsible for overseeing the conduct of Risk Assessments for all facilities in the area.
Drive preparedness in addressing emergencies & business continuity, and to ensure that appropriate corrective measures are taken promptly in response to any accident or near-miss.
Review implementation of programs and training to educate, train and motivate employees to be aware of HSSE aspects and impacts in order to conduct activities with minimal risk.
Regularly measure and audit HSSE performance in order to ensure compliance with legal requirements and policy commitments
Sustainability
Develop sustainability strategies that ensure business practices, products & services are environment friendly, compliant with local regulations & keeping requirements of our customers (to reduce carbon footprints) at the core.
Collaborate with Area Leaders to implement sustainability programs in the area.
Promote & explain the Area’s Sustainability philosophy to internal & external audiences, when required.
Quality :
Drive the initiatives of Maersk in VCM to upgrade our quality standards meeting customers’ demand
Assess & implement quality measures, including ISO certifications
