The Key Responsibilities...
Maintain a constant flow of communication between Modelist, factories, part suppliers and NY product teams while ensuring samples are executed in a timely manner.
Review, monitor and verify CADS and technical information before passing to factories.
Communicate daily with NY and factories regarding the status of samples and prototypes.
Review prototypes / samples and prepare comments in preparation for development meetings.
Partner with development team members to ensure all lasts, patterns and outsoles are confirmed prior to product freezes for all development milestones.
PDT management : understanding and adhering to milestone dates, sense of urgency and high attention to detail.
Coordinate and track product iterations and design requests.
The accomplished individual will possess...
10+ years’ experience in footwear development. Preferably in luxury fashion shoes.
Strong technical knowledge of patterns, lasts, materials and footwear constructions.
Strong product eye and ability to translate 2D information into 3D prototypes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of footwear costing.
Ability to multitask and strong sense of teamwork.
Strong communication skills in written and oral English and Mandarin.
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
