Responsibilities : Managerial Functions

Managerial Functions

  • Recruit, hire, train and when necessary terminate personnel.
  • Monitors purchasing allocation levels by supplier and adjust when necessary in support of business strategy.
  • Review and approve the release of weekly purchase order up to $500k USD per P0.
  • Manage supplier performance by tracking KPI data and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Perform project management roles in support of Supply Chain optimization efforts (either Leadership or team member).
  • Create, publish and when required, audit, purchasing and sourcing reports.
  • Supply Chain Planning

  • Provide T1 and T2 suppliers with demand plans for various purchasing horizons.
  • Collect and analyze weekly loading reports to ensure appropriate capacity utilization levels
  • Coordinate with Global Planning team and China Purchasing team to ensure macro model capacities are sufficient to support ramp up schedules and subsequent replenishment plans
  • Work with Global Planning team and China purchasing team as needed to secure raw materials, capacity and or specialized equipment in support of new product ramp ups.
  • Conduct pro-active lead time logistic reviews for new products
  • Visit supplier factories to facilitate communication and or resolution of issues.
  • Transactional Support

  • Assist team with reporting and analysis of data.
  • Engage various functional groups (CN Purchasing / Sourcing, Suppliers and IT) with the objective of optimizing transactional purchasing processes.
  • Publish supply chain performance reports (KPIs, Ramp ups)
  • Monitor T1 and T2 WIP reports as needed to ensure adequate flow of material in support of shipping schedules
  • Issue blanket P0s or official PO’s to help secure capacity and or raw materials in support of new products
  • Relationship Management

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Identify and resolve material flow issues with a variety of suppliers and products.
  • Assist suppliers in the resolution of issues which would be beneficial to their ability to serve Taylor Made. (Get invoices paid, gather specs, etc )
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required
  • Knowledge and Skills Requirements :

  • Must have the ability to work across multiple business teams
  • Strong written and verbal English and Vietnamese communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to act tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to draw conclusions from data about actions required
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with relational databases (i.e. MS Access, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TaylorMade’s purchasing systems (Oracle, CSE)
  • Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of related Operations / Purchasing experience in a high-throughput supply chain environment (>
  • 10 Million annual units).

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Work Environment / Physical Requirements :

  • Normal office and factory conditions with extensive computer and phone usage
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
