JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Manager assists the Manager and / or Director in daily deliverables to provide excellent service to clients.
They provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports, submitting the reports to the client and are able to coach junior staff in the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle full set of accounts and bank operations for clients. Assists to manage daily work with high complexity, including closing full set of books, SFC compliance documents, capital account, annual financial statements, profits tax returns with tax computations, trade and shipping services, and other tailor made management reports / financial analysis;
Maintains relationship with clients and internal / external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, IRD and other government departments on client company’s affairs, accounts, bank accounts, tax filing, etc.;
Query management with internal and external- 3rd party stakeholders;
Assist Manager in preparing proposal for clients;
Supervises Senior Accountants, Accountants and Junior Accountants, and reviews draft deliverables;
Assists Manager / Director to oversee daily operations of the Accounting department and to implement internal control procedures;
Assists Manager / Director to train & coach junior staff;
Assists Manager / Director to follow up on Debtors list (client invoices);
Prepares and checks various reports as requested by clients;
Prepares and supervises accountant audits.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Degree Holder in Accountancy or business related disciplines;
Professional qualification holder (CPA Certificate)
Minimum 5 6 years relevant experience in CPA firms or multinational companies;
Sound knowledge of international accounting and banking practices;
Good command of written and spoken English.
Pursuing or qualified in Local professional examinations.
