Manage the tooling creation & tooling manufacturing process within the Operations Center with focus on lead time and quality.
Ensure adidas-Group innovation technologies and processes are implemented in all LO Operation Centers.
Drive manufacturing efficiency improvement projects through implementation at Tier 1 factories.
Key Responsibilities : Tooling Management
Manage tooling creation and tooling manufacturing lead time and quality within the Operations Center considerate of production source.
Consult and support LO Costing team in tooling costing process. Responsible for submitting theoretical weight and verifying cycle time for outsole.
Shorten tooling creation and manufacturing lead time with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and forecasting & planning tools.
Implement tooling data security, monitor and maintain tooling data security throughout all T1 and T2 facilities at OC of assignment.
Ensure T1 tooling data is updated and available in the regional tooling data management system.
Implement tooling creation & tooling manufacturing technologies.
Grow full understanding of all PCaG tooling supplier capabilities in Vietnam and China.
Product Creation Technologies
Ensure the latest product creation technologies, processes (such as Last, VR Sample, PE, etc.) and related documentations are fully implemented in T1 & T2 according to Regional PCT & Tooling direction.
Support the Technical Training Program throughout the LO organization to ensure Brand, T1 & T2 staff meet adidas group technical competencies.
Ensure T1 & T2 fully explore new concepts, technologies and process improvements within product creation and in product manufacturing.
Assist with the annual T1 & T2 supplier’s certification and auditing process.
Develop in collaboration with Industrial Engineer, T1, T2, LO and Machinery Vendors manufacturing technologies and processes that improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
E.g. Assembly processes, bonding systems, stitching automation, etc.)
Implement new manufacturing technologies at T1 and T2 through completion of research, benefit analysis, best practice documentation and successful completion of pilot trials
Consult & Support Brand, T1 & T2 team on technical and tooling related issues.
Assist Regional PCT & Tooling, Asia on PCT documents creation, implement and provide operations feedback to enhance the best practices, policies, guideline, standards effectives
Key relationships :
Maintain collaborative partnerships at level of trust and integrity with external partners (Tier 1, Mold Shops & Vendors) and internal partners (LO and OC functions)
Knowledge, skills and abilities :
Strong technical knowledge of tooling design, engineering and manufacturing, CAD & CAM. RT and RP is a plus.
Good technical footwear knowledge of product construction and manufacturing methods.
Good knowledge in lean manufacturing principles, process automation
Strong project management knowledge and skill.
Fluent in English, written and verbal, BULATS level 3 or equivalent.
Ability to create, plan and deliver presentations
Good command of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
University or College degree
At least 5 years in the athletic footwear industry that includes Product Development, Engineering, Technical Service and Production.
Computer literacy (MS Office and database understanding)
