The Accounting Country Manager is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting review required to maintain the company’s general ledger and is the accounting guardian , overseeing the accounting movements of his / her perimeter.
The Accounting Country Manager is the bandmaster ensuring high added value services, working closely with different accounting services (AP, AR, taxes etc) and be proactive with all stakeholders of the scope : AFMs, payroll officers, hr, controlling etc.
Assign projects and direct staff with the managers of the accounting services, to ensure completeness and accuracy of the established objectives.
Be accountable and coordinates the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities, according to the planning at the group level, with a result obligation.
Ensure the production of the checklist and scope synthesis.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including : Month and end-year closing processBookkeeping complex transactions (local GAAP for example)Taxes declarationsAccounts payable / receivableGeneral ledgerPayroll and utilitiesRevenue and expenditure variance analysisCapital assets reconciliationsPerforming accounting checklistFixed asset activityDebt activityCash reconciliation & management
Being involved and support for the annual audit
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles Improving accounting processes and tools used for the scope is in charge of and at the group level
Expert and proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. Is familiar with the group and local GAAP and can make the bridge between these two and aware is case of any risk and ensure its compliance
Intermediate Management level demonstrates a working & functional proficiency level
Ability to organize, coordinate and supervise
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases -
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
High attention to detail and accuracy
Take initiative and demonstrate autonomy
Be solution oriented and handle complex projects
