International Protein Food Sourcing Buyer will identify and secure reliable sources of quality protein goods from foreign suppliers, negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery cycles to meet the needs of the organization.
Main objectives will be to develop imported protein food category (ies) and coordinating within the different departments of the Group to ensure competitive, qualitative deals and smooth import, selling flows.
International Protein Food Sourcing Buyer will be responsible for the daily relationship with suppliers for the category(-ies) he / she will be appointed to.
He / she will fully manage his / her category(-ies) (orders forecast, import planning, sales plan and follow-up, problem management, etc.).
Learn about products carefully and choose products that are suitable for customers' tastes and market trends.
Keep survey of the latest trend in the market, develop shoppers, competitors survey to ensure business development.
Achieve or exceed the International Food Sourcing objectives, through periodic category performance reviews and taking practical and appropriate actions.
Taking into consideration Trading Calendar, build organisation, training, merchandising, Advertising in compliance with company standards to ensure the desired results are achieved.
Use all the possible sources of information to identify the validated origins and potential new suppliers.
Propose / Select new suppliers and new products which satisfy customer’s needs (Big C / GO! / Top Markets Purchasing Center mainly and others banners), company policy (ethics, etc.
and Vietnam regulations.
Managing assessments, data analysis about sales, stock in, stock out, storage to ensure good stock plan and buying plan in accordance with the needs of stores.
Define requirements of product specification to QC team to build Technical File for the purpose of purchasing good quality products
Ensure product availability and promotional plan through effective import plan.
Assesses foreign suppliers of goods, analyzing performance and satisfaction in terms of pricing, supply, delivery and quality.
Develops and maintains relationships with existential and prospective suppliers by visit the supplier’s factories and show-rooms, discussing price, product quality, and delivery cycles.
Propose competitive sourcing solutions aligned with purchase order annual plan.
Visit nationals and internationals exhibitions in order to always be informed about new trends and events in the sector.
Guarantee the daily communication between the related parties to ensure smooth import process.
Policy & procedures : Review of all current internal processes and policy relating to product specification, supplier contract, import logistics, quality control and develop and enhance operational policies and procedures for Loss Prevention, minimize costs and risks.
Offering Negotiation :
Request for quotation and prices negotiation with suppliers.
Negotiate purchasing condition with suppliers : commodity specification, variety, quantity, quality, delivery schedule, payment term and etc.
Confirm the orders with suppliers.
Import and develop categories following company’s strategy :
Monitor the completion of orders from shipment to arrival with suppliers and other departments
Anticipate, solve and escalate problems during import process.
Prepare and follow up import orders until finishing selling goods (including category development action plan & follow up).
Work together with the team members to achieve common goals.
Coordinate between suppliers and customers to achieve best solution for all parties involved.
Coordinate with team members and internal departments for relevant issues or changes.
Report business activity, progress and status, and record them by using assigned applications / systems.
Manage the issues or problems to his / her manager / superior with solutions proposal
Supporting the Team :
Assist the team in sourcing, offering, order follow-up and any other merchandising activities.
Support the team in resolving the problems related to customers complaints (when applicable).
Assist the team in resolving the issues related to the claims for supplier (when applicable).
Generate reports and communication tools

Education : University degree or above
Seniority : At least 3 years experience in relevant area concerning international trading or organization, import-export.
Previously worked in well-known sourcing companies, trading or buying offices.
Languages : Vietnamese native, fluent in both writing and speaking English.
Office skills : Good computer skills (Microsoft office / Outlook, etc.)
International Trade and commercial practices;
Technical knowledge on Food (Fresh food / FMCG), and quality assurance
Familiar with the retail business and legal requirements;
Consumers, products, market.
High communication ability. Good level of English
