Job Description

The point-person for a given digital project. The deployment strategist should lead the the end-to-end implementation of a DX customer engagement with a key focus on ensuring value and ROI for the customer.

They should be able to lead the project team with high-level of autonomy. They should create a close partnership with the client project lead and sponsor.

The ideal candidate would specialize in value-related activities, like a detective they are able to dig behind the surface to find the reality of a given problem.

They own and drive the success of each project. They have a good understanding of technology and what it possible, however they would not (generally) be developing the application themselves.

They are expected to be able to have high-level technical discussion with the development team.

While no 2 days are the same in this role the expected activities at the different stages of a customer engagement would be :

  • Lead problem discovery and value identification on-site with the customer
  • Strategise and iterate through different ways in which the presented problem could be solved.
  • Drive the development of Minimum Viable products, translating the product vision and customer needs into chunks of work for the development team.
  • Drive the transition beyond MVP phase into scaled solutions
  • Strong focus on value, Build and derive value metrics to measure the success of the project. Keep these front and centre during design, development and roll-out.
  • Roll-out project with customers, presenting up to c-level stakeholders and rolling out with end-users.
  • Job Qualifications

    Skills and Competencies

  • Project Leadership & management : experience in leading technical project teams to deliver using agile methodologies.
  • Customer Interactions : Strong background in leading customer facing engagements, building and managing customer relationships and stakeholder management.
  • Problem discovery : Experience in turning loose specifications and open-ended problems into pin-pointed qualitative and quantitative problem statements.
  • Understanding of what the key problem is to solve.

  • Business case : Experience in writing and presenting business cases for given projects.
  • Knowledge and Awareness of different digital technologies, what they do and where they bring value. In particular : IoT, Cloud, APIs, AI & Data, Mixed Reality, Micro-Services, Mobility (Mobile apps).
  • Basic data analytics skills : Understanding of data workflows and experience in deriving insights from data. (e.g. through dashboarding, low-code analyses, etc).
