Position Summary :
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to work closely with our SEA Sales Director in implementing a business development strategy, expanding the business, and developing a structured and value-adding reporting system reporting system to help decision making and bottler engagement.
The Position is based in Ho Chi Minh City, with a low / medium level of travel within the SEA region
Responsibilities :
1. Strategy, Financial and Commercial Management :
Support SEA Sales Director (Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar), commercial managers, and Commercial Development team in the following areas :
Support Annual Business Plans preparation and delivery
Maximize the use of data, and analyze insights. Complete understanding of consumer / customer category readings (retail audits) and report opportunities or actions to take.
Whether from bottler sources or others
Deliver consistent monthly reports
Work with finance regional team on budgets, P&Ls, and value chain for quarterly / monthly reviews
Develop and deliver specific Monster, Predator, and Strategic Brands reporting with agreed scorecards
Understand Marketing regional plan, report and monitor local plan / initiatives in line with ABP
Support the Country Managers in gap-close initiatives and longer-term investment priority adjustments
2. Sales forecasting, reporting & Analysis :
Own consolidated regional view of sales (shipment & depletions) actuals, budget, and LY performance. Including concentrate shipment planning for the Predator and Strategic Brands
Review accuracy of countries' forecast & rolling estimates against the business plan, market insights, and phasing (listings, distribution build-up, promotions )
Monitor and track sales to Distribution partners and inventories to communicate solid forecasts and make recommendations to further accelerate sales
Report sales performance against annual targets and review effectiveness / implementation of the different agreed programs.
Turn best activities into best practices that can be shared across SEA / APAC.
3. Specific Business Development projects : Support SEA Sales Director & commercial managers in preparation for the launch of Predator and / or ongoing managing Monster and Strategic Brands (Samurai, Burn) in specific regional markets (Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar)
Become part of a cross-functional team working on business development projects
At times, directly engage with a distributor to lead specific areas or milestones
Be part of the budget & forecast process
Actively support the launch on the ground with a hands-on attitude
Prepare quarterly reviews and top to top engagement decks
Requirements :
5 years experience working in a PCG / FMCG company in a sales / marketing capacity.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
Equivalent related experience may be substituted for educational requirements
Previous experiences working in an FMCG company in a sales / marketing capacity
Fluent in EnglishStrong analytical skills, comfortable with numbers
Good time management and ability to move different work streams in parallel
Articulate : strong verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills
Demonstrated appreciation for the value of attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Team player. Get Shit Done mindset
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Understanding distributor management (or wholesale / key account management) is a plus
Knowledge of Monster Energy company, brands, and values is preferred
