As Field Force Effectiveness Manager, you will get an opportunity to work within a high performing team under Commercial Excellence (CE) and Business Intelligence (BI) unit based in Novo Nordisk Vietnam.

The Position

In this role, you will be accountable in maximizing commercial effectiveness, ensuring implementation of tools and processes, providing insights and analysis to management team, monitoring and supporting best-in-class performance for the affiliate.

You will report directly to the Commercial Excellence & BI Director.

Specific duties include, but not limited to :

  • Coordinating with Sales and Marketing to ensure that CE Framework is effectively implemented, leading the Consolidated Planning Process (CPP) in alignment with other functions and seek for endorsement of Operational Call Planning (OCP) and Short-term Incentive (STI) at Business Area (BA) / Region / International Operations (IO) level, and managing the development and effective utilisation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in the affiliate in collaboration with Marketing and Sales management
  • Driving the tactical & strategic CE activities with cross-functional collaboration in the affiliate to ensure alignment with the business strategy and optimum resource allocation (including profiling, targeting, clustering, segmentation, territory alignment, sales force structure & deployment, target setting, operational call planning and short-term incentive design)
  • Establishing regular reports on key insights from the pharma sector and competitors regarding Sales Force (SF) structuring and sizes (Share of Voice per brand), targeting approaches and sales incentive plans, establishing systems and tools to track performance against relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by ensuring timely and high-quality reporting, analysing the outcomes of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) & sales performance reports, exploring the reasons behind the results and providing suggested action points
  • Identifying how new ideas and better practices can add value to Novo Nordisk’s approach based on the analysis of competitors and customer insights, supporting Marketing with market intelligence and analysis, leveraging insights to identify critical issues as well as to give input for forecasting, budgeting and business plans
  • Ensuring that all relevant functions understand and apply CE processes appropriately, communicating the necessary updates regarding CE Fundamentals to the sales force and ensuring they are correctly applied in the field, and supporting utilisation of alternative detailing methods across the affiliate (i.
  • e. e-detailing, iSelling, etc.)


  • You completed a bachelor’s degree relevant to medical or business field
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in sales support, business development or marketing within the pharma industry
  • MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree is a plus
  • 2 years of experience in managerial position is preferred
  • You are proficient in both spoken and written English
