National Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics

This role will be the country’s lead in driving business development activities for the Contract Logistics business unit for Vietnam.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop strong opportunity pipeline for sales opportunity.
  • Build relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics to create value.
  • Meet and exceed personal and country new business revenue goals.
  • Work on RFI / RFQ / RFP written responses.
  • Develop and implement account plan for major accounts.
  • Cross-sell Kuehne+Nagel suite of services.
  • Work closely with the team to develop creative solutions to customer needs.
  • Marshall the resources within Kuehne+Nagel to capitalize on value creation opportunities.
  • Drive proactive suggestions for continuous expectation are in alignment.
  • Maintain close communication with customer and Kuehne+Nagel operations team to assure uniform understanding of customer expectation relative to operational solutions, timeline, costs and results.
  • Organize regular meetings with the client and relevant operations staff to report on performance and receive an update from client on challenges and future plan.
  • Your skills and experience

  • A university graduate in Logistics, Engineering or Business.
  • Minimum5 years of sales experience within the Contract Logistics / Warehousing industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local logistics market and its customers.
  • Advanced negotiation skills with a good suite of high level sales skills.
  • Consultative approach and a customer oriented profile
  • Strong business acumen and a confident decision maker

    Minimum Qualifications

  • A university graduate in Logistics, Engineering or Business.
