About the Position
The undergraduate Social Studies program at Fulbright University Vietnam invites applications for an open-rank, full-time faculty position in Sociology, Gender Studies, Anthropology, or Political Science.
The appointment begins August 2022. Social Studies is the newest major program at Fulbright University, and offers students an interdisciplinary, liberal arts, approach to the study of society.
As this is a cluster hire, we are interested in building new strengths with a variety of faculty specializations.
however, research need not be limited to these areas applicants with an interdisciplinary background across social science fields are especially welcome to apply.
Expertise with global institutions, transnationality, or comparative work with Asia are also preferred.
Successful candidates will contribute to our core curriculum, an introductory major course (survey, theory, or methods), and teach in their own area of specialization on a basis of 4 courses per year in addition to advising graduating student capstone projects.
They will also help build the social studies major in its formative years.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications : Ph.D. in hand desired, ABD considered.
