To assist A&H Operations Manager on all Underwriting (UW) related matters; to make UW decision within given authority level with the focus to grow the existing book of business profitably.


  • To be responsible for UW of all direct and indirect business at Liberty Vietnam
  • To build and maintain relationships with Clients, Brokers, Cedants and Reinsurers
  • To support and coordinate with Distribution Network on all UW related matters
  • To assist A&H Operations Manager on Strategic Planning and all related activities / projects related to UW
  • To assist A&H Operations Manager in setting up local UW guidelines and procedures
  • To manage and assist on specific project tasks as and when delegated by A&H Operations Manager
  • To do the training of all UW and UW related staff at Liberty Vietnam
  • To assist the training for Processing Team on any technical matter related
  • To prepare quotation based on UW information provided by marketers and / or agent developers
  • To handle and assist UW administrative work (such as drafting forms, drafting clauses, translation, statistic†)
  • To assume any other duties as and when assigned

  • University graduate, or in possession of relevant Insurance Professional Qualifications
  • Working experience in insurance company handling non-life underwriting, preferable over 3 years
  • Ability to effectively interact with agents, brokers and internal departments
  • Strong verbal and written communications (both English and Vietnamese) skills
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and decision making skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • This position oversees the operation of underwriting and business development as assigned by A&H Operations Manager.
  • To introduce new personal products to extend the personal insurance sales
  • To analyze and manage own products’ portfolio
  • To develop hard and soft skills of PA& Health team members
  • To improve the daily processes
  • To be the referral point for the team on technical issues and for some cases exceeding authority.
  • To be responsible for training, coaching and developing colleagues on technical and improve process
