The Officer - Collections is responsible for managing delinquent and customer accounts and accurate record maintenance for all customer contacts by applying the appropriate Collections processes and strategies.
This role provides service to all customer types by ensuring all necessary actions are conducted in a friendly and timely manner within agreed response time.
Actioning delinquent accounts in line with approved Collections strategies and processes to meet target on flow rate, delinquency and recovery amount;
Contacting customers or references and negotiating acceptable arrangements to clear delinquency within constraints of policy and legislation, relating to both credit risk and customer advocacy (face-
to-face interviewing, calling, visiting customer site, working with local police );- Effectively managing the development and achievement of customer centricity;
Collaborating with internal stakeholder in handling delinquent accounts if required;- Identifying and referring accounts that present non-
standard, unacceptable or higher risk circumstances and providing necessary follow up or solution to settle arrears;- Handling ligation and enforcement process;
Developing or enhancing the operational procedure;- Ensuring all services delivered comply with audit, risk frameworks, policies, processes and standards and with legal and regulatory requirements;
Managing team memebers.
