Work with designers worldwide to establish requirements and recommendations for the season / range. Source raw materials, products and suppliers to suit requirements for all the company International divisions.
Research and present new trends at the same time keeping within the company parameters and standards.
Establish business relationships with suppliers in both local and global markets
Research and Negotiate the most competitive price in the market place and within business target price.
Update project status charts and monitor timelines
Once a raw material is selected and prices approved, then present information to the Material technical team for them to arrange testing requirements and supplier evaluation
Special research requests from Management
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years footwear in development / sourcing of footwear raw materials. Experience with fabrics, knitted stretch products, accessories is preferred.
5 +yrs of related work experience in the footwear industry.
Experience analyzing trends and making recommendations.
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
Ability to understand 2D images in 3D.
MS office skills, good communication skills.
Exposure to the latest in footwear materials, components, processes, and concepts.
Minimum 5 years experience in development / sourcing of footwear raw materials. Experience with fabrics, knitted stretch products, accessories are preferred.
Time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people from different countries and at different levels in the organization.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Creative with a good eye for design.
Ability to travel internationally to visit fairs and source product when required, predominantly in Asia
