Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally.

We are currently looking for a "Head of Digital Strategy" to join us

Report to : Managing Director Wavemaker Vietnam

    In 3 months :

  • Been brought up to speed on Wavemaker servicing processes and best practices you will be ready to face the world's largest client with confidence.
  • Been exposed to all related stakeholders, and you will start managing on / offline media planning process against briefs from the designated client
  • Been satisfactorily commented internally and externally that you are well on-boarded.
  • In 6 months :

  • Standardized operational effectiveness
  • Marked improvement in performance results across categories
  • Begun to develop an incremental business pipeline for your clients.
  • Settled down programmatic buying system by strengthening DMP & DSP and fully digested relevant insight tool and made BIC (Best In Case) for the designated clients.
  • In 12 months :

  • Successfully serviced your respective client engagements, earning client compliment
  • Built out your incremental business pipeline with additional Wavemaker / GroupM products and service offerings
  • Responsibilities of the role :

    Client Development

  • Work closely with the Managing Director to positively influence priority client senior leaders & digital heads.
  • Conduct digital workshops for clients, high-level digital initiatives and projects, and building in publisher relationships at a client level.
  • Deploy best-in-class digital implementation across client portfolios in Wavemaker
  • New business development

  • Actively work in digital output and strategy on Wavemaker integrated pitches and potential support on regional / global pitches
  • Ensure clients are delivered excellent digital planning, including the overall agency product, and both GroupM and Wavemaker digital offerings.
  • Work with client leads to ensure digital acceleration of existing clients including new services and digital revenue share shift & growth
  • Agency development

  • Responsible for driving innovation and new technology topics across the whole agency.
  • This includes but is not limited to new publisher offerings, new media players, and new technology.
  • Ensure that the innovation and new tech strategy realizes in client business plans.
  • Build and grow our publisher partnerships and their agency involvement across all client business.
  • Publisher product developments and opportunities, building this into client business.
  • Work with the publishers to build bespoke Wavemaker client offerings, media first offerings, first access to new developments, and building custom collaborations on behalf of Wavemaker clients.
  • Digital product development

  • Work with Managing Director to land new product solutions and have these integrated into the client teams as they get developed by the Group (local / regional / global)
  • Play a key role in building into the digital product the benefits / offerings / products and ways of working across key publishers in Vietnam.
  • Team Management

  • Support Managing Director in developing the team’s strategic, implementational and client management skills
  • Oversee the delivery and output of the digital team product
  • Conduct regular appraisals with designated team members
  • Join us if you have :

  • 6-8 years experience in developing, implementing digital strategies (agency background preferred)
  • Knowledge about media & digital landscape in Vietnam and Regions.
  • Good sense of numbers, figures to analyze data and suggest innovative approaches, concepts that aligned with client’s objectives
  • A curious, driven, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial attitude to be able to work independently or to seek out the required solutions from elsewhere in the network
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across critical yet often fluctuating deadlines
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work cross functions to drive projects smoothly
  • Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Trends, Display & Video 360, The Trade Desk
