Job Description

  • Representing Hapag-Lloyd in Sales related activities with existing or new customers.
  • Developing, managing and growing own portfolio of customers and seeking growth opportunities.
  • Directly dealing with customer in face-to-face appointments to develop, secure and maintain most profitable business.
  • Conducting volume planning for own controlled customer portfolio and review account performance in line with organizational strategy.
  • Conducting account planning and derive an account strategy including an action plan to develop customers / opportunities.
  • Coordinating the participation in tender requests from own controlled customers, handling customer tender feedback, and being responsible to implement final tender result successfully.
  • Participating in weekly coaching sessions with Sales Manager to review past sales activities and align activities for the future.
  • Approaching customer through specified Sales channels
  • Promote special Sales campaigns (e.g., Reefer, Special Cargo, etc.).
  • Close interaction with internal stakeholders and actively drive push & pull activities with other Sales organizations overseas
  • Usage of internal systems and Customer Relationship Management tool
  • Job Requirements

    Bachelor Degree or equivalent

    Minimum 5 years working experience in shipping lines

    Good market knowledge. Familiarity and strong business rapport with key accounts will be an added advantage.

    Good at communication and presentation skills

    Proficient in English & in MS Office
