As Vietnam Pharma Tech Head you will lead the Vietnam Pharmaceuticals Tech function to ensure that the Vietnam business has the technology and digital strategies in place to deliver on their business performance objectives leveraging where possible GSK’s global products, at best in class cost.

Business Partnering : Act as the primary partner to the Vietnam business leadership team and represent all functions within GSK Tech to ensure that Tech people, systems and services are effectively supporting key business objectives.
Work with the leaders in the business to align to the strategy and drive deployment and adoption.
Drive Innovation Accountable for working with the GSK Vietnam leadership teams to identify high value opportunities to use Digital, Data and Analytics to transform how the business operates, or how we can engage with physicians and / or patients to more optimally manage the burden of disease with a particular focus on how best to utilise Technology to maximise GSK’s impact in its upcoming product launches.
Solution and Service Strategy : Working with the Vietnam business leadership team to Develop, deliver and maintain an digital capability strategy to deliver the optimal set of solutions which drive business growth and align to the global commercial agenda.
Technology Delivery : Ensure the effective delivery of the Vietnam technology portfolio of local, regional, and global projects with appropriate processes and controls to deliver against timelines, quality and cost.
Build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders such as the global product teams to support delivery of the project portfolio.
Ensure investments in Digital, Data and Analytics are delivering expected value and that effective change management has been put in place as part of deployment.
Manage and Govern IT systems : Establish and lead Business Governance bodies, to drive prioritization, approval for projects, provide oversight and enable benefits realization, manage overall service performance and manage business risk.
Ensure that the systems supported locally meet Global Pharma tech standards and remain compliant with support levels within agreed KPIs.
Ensuring the right services levels are in place and maintained in line with business need.
Quality, Risk & Compliance : Accountable for ensuring all applications supporting the business are compliant with internal GSK security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.
g. GxP, SARBOX, GDPR and that tech continuity plans are in place for all business critical applications
People Management Accountable for line managing and developing staff within Vietnam Tech. Ensure ongoing succession planning and career development is in place to maintain Business Process knowledge and deep IT expertise.
Basic Qualifications :
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Sciences or equivalent experience,
Experience with Commercial business digital transformation powered by digital, data, technology
Minimum 12 years’ experience in working in Tech with at least 5 years in leadership roles
Deep content knowledge of Pharmaceutical commercial process areas and the systems and data used in the sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals (IQVIA, Veeva etc.
preferred with a Minimum of 5 years experience working in a Commercial (Sales and Marketing) organisation
Track record in successful Tech strategy development, solution design, programme and project delivery and service management
Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions
Excellent partnership management, strong influencing and communication skills at senior level
Experience working in global and matrix organizations
Experience with product management and Agile practices would be an asset
Good people management with a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams in a matrix environment
Preferred Qualifications :
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus :
Knowledge and experience of ITIL based service management practices
Experience working with Six Sigma / Lean Sigma processes and tools
Knowledge of service operations, processes, service delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement
Ability to drive outcomes and manage client expectations
Understanding of business area strategic goals, processes and workflow, and of the IT tools deployed
Familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering information services
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to influence others, make technical decisions and initiate actions
