Job Description : Responsibility
Applications Development Engineer (ADE) is responsible for profitable and sustainable business development via developing new applications with customers with new and existing products.
The ADE is also responsible to accurately and effectively manage communications and deliverables between the customer, R&D and Product Management for all assigned projects.
Technical service support at the customer will be required on an as-needed basis.
The ADE needs to understand the performance of the product and has to actively assist Sales team in explaining it to customers and in discovering its value for the customer (FBP Feature, Benefit and Profit).
Identify, research, and validate application development opportunities in alignment with the Plastics, Paint & Coating, and Specialty chemicals business unit strategy, varies from General Industry to Oil and Gas and Mining
Work directly with customers to clarify technical and commercial requirements for new applications and suggest suitable products.
Sponsor product development projects and coordinate with internal and external technical specialists as required to meet project requirements.
Develop suitable process and / or application conditions and product properties to meet application development and end-user requirements.
Develop and Commercialization for general chemical products in cleaning, protective and water resistance
Requirements and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical required, or higher in minimum of 3-5 years strong working experience in relevant engineering field, and very proactive person attitude for collaboration productivity and team work
Technical experience in plastics processing, Paint and Coating and specialty Additive is considered a plus.
Possesses good analytical, communication, project management skills and presentation skills
Good communication in local language, and English
Hands-on, self driven, innovative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Sense of business acumen to support and drive the business development
Develops proficiency within assigned projects utilizing appropriate methods, practices and concepts
Acquires general knowledge and understanding of the organization, the product line and the customer base.
Very good for providing / conduct training to customers and / or business teams.
Very good connection and networking with local expert in converters and electronics community.
Experience working in a Global Business
Experience in an OEM and / or Key Account business role and ability to obtain results working with a team in a matrix organization
