Description The GGA role is a value-added resource to business and corporate areas and the franchise more broadly, informing them of political, legislative and regulatory changes and government decisions;
helping them assess the impact on Citi and its clients; and developing and driving a strategy for managing the issues. Key Responsibilities
Monitor, analyze and report on political, legislative and regulatory changes that will impact current and future Citi business and the general business environment as well as Vietnam’s relations with other countries and organizations in the region (such as ASEAN, APEC and ADB) and the United States.
Work with the CCO, business and corporate heads to develop and implement a strategy to respond to issues that are identified as priorities, consulting with regional and global colleagues to ensure consistency in positions.
Develop an extensive network of contacts and manage Citi’s relationships with government, regulators, industry associations, regional and global organizations, multilateral agencies and NGO’s to advance issues.
Advocate externally Citi’s agreed position, or assist others to do this via the arrangement of meetings and / or preparation of briefing materials.
Contribute to the work of the Asia Pacific and Global Government Affairs team on local, regional and global issues.
Ensure compliance with applicable local and international laws on political lobbying and gifts in the conduct of work by self and others.
Speak at client, industry and government meetings as required.

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
Ability to navigate the political, legislative and regulatory environment in Vietnam, to work in complex environments.
Experience working with government, industry associations, regional or global organizations, multilaterals or NGOs.
Knowledge of the banking industry, financial services and Citi products and services
Fluency in oral and written English and Vietnamese to convey difficult concepts clearly and concisely and to be an effective public speaker.
Familiarity with MS Office including Word and Power-point as well as Collaborate.
Educated to degree level, and preferable to post graduate degree level, in a relevant area (e.g. finance, political science, economics, or law)
