What you’re going to do
As a Technical Project Manager, you are in charge of the Vietnam based team that provides support, maintenance and enhancement of multiple projects managed by our Singapore branch.
You coordinate the communication with the Singapore project managers and support teams, and make sure your team in Vietnam works on tasks with right priority, delivers high quality results and meet the SLA.
In addition to taking care of the team delivery, you will also focus on leadership and people management to ensure team motivation and collaboration.
In your daily work, you will :
Provide 2nd (+) and 3rd level support for SG projects (bug fixing, deep analysis of issues and logs, workarounds).
Manage change requests including impact analysis, solutions provision, estimation, and implementation
Partner with Project Manager and Support Team in other locations to facilitate communication and information flow.
Lead junior team members, provide guidance and oversee the quality of the work.
Breakdown and assign tasks and verify the execution by the team members to ensure project team members have the right mix of challenging and interesting tasks, so that they can continuously grow in their role
Challenge the project plans and decisions, escalate local problems if needed.
Mitigate risks, clarify questions, eliminate impediments
Participate on project related meetings, create a culture of continuous improvement and share project best practices and lessons learned within the organization
Communicate project information, goals, milestones and news to the local team
Set up and moderate team meetings at the shoring location
Ensure team motivation, e.g. by organizing local team events
What we’re looking for
For this challenging task, you should have
A university degree (BSc / MSc) in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years of Project Manager (or Team Lead) experience, including leading a support team
Past experience as software engineer with good technical background (understanding or hands-on experience in software development)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams
Flexibility to work with various technologies and multiple projects in parallel
Advanced communication skills in English
Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Waterfall methods, certification is a plus
Java and / or .NET knowledge is a plus
