Job Description

The Job holder is responsible and accountable for commercial growth and business expansion across the SmartPay line of business.

The role includes Business Development of eWallet for private individuals, solutions, offerings. This role will drive sales and lead our demand generation activities across our entire leadership and sales teams

This executive will also provide strategic leadership and direction for new businesses and offerings expansion

Working closely with the SmartPay Chairman, this individual will become familiar with our established vision, mission, culture, and overall strategy of the organization, and will then build on these to effectively define and lead strategic business growth activities.

The position demands an experienced, inspiring, and influential leader who is skilled in developing cohesive and motivated teams that will collaborate across our integrated set of businesses.

Lead and direct growth across SmartPay at strategic levels and the day to day activities in the following areas :

  • Strategic Planning and Execution - Responsible for architecting and executing strategies, and opportunity development to drive growth of eWallet customers from private individuals focused on both short term and long term outcomes.
  • Sales leadership - Provide insights, oversight, and direction to sales and support teams within all businesses at SmartPay.
  • Shape what and how we go to market, drive our value differentiation and bring structure, tools, and capabilities to our sales function and teams.

    Maintains accountability for the attainment of annual sales targets for the organization in conjunction with leadership.

  • Business Development Owner Design and implement the long-term strategy to increase the value of our network (financial eco-system), move across various industry verticals, negotiate strategic partnerships and ventures, and optimize the organization to sell what we want, achieve target margins, and execute according to plans.
  • Growth Channels

  • Corporate development experience building relationships to identify growth opportunities with acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures
  • Attract top talent to enable the strategy and growth plan
  • Experience and comfort with technology and data analytics to make data driven decisions for the company
  • Ability to build differentiated positions and value propositions in a mature business and customer set
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • 5 years experience in same position
  • 7 years experience with focus on business development and sales in e-commerce industry
  • Previous experience in sales and business development, and / or strategic planning will be key to understanding our business
  • Experience in strategy and leadership to drive growth for an organization.
