YOUR ROLE
Operating as a finance business partner to the assigned School / Division, the Commercial Finance Manager will deliver timely and quality services relating to financial strategic and annual planning, monthly rolling forecast, budget control, periodical and ad-hoc reports and analysis, product performance analysis, study load and revenue plan to assist the School / Division in achieving business targets.

Reports to : Senior Commercial and Finance Manager
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
People collaboration and relationship management
Work smoothly and seamlessly with other teams to serve common purpose of Division
Build trust and maintain a culture that supports collaboration, outstanding customer service, integrity, continuous improvement and striving for excellent performance through daily activities
Provide outstanding support to business partners in all levels
Ensure strong and effective relationships with stakeholders both in country and with Headquarters
Lead and deliver relevant training programs for finance and non-finance staff.
Financial Strategic Planning and Analysis
Directly responsible for Strategic Long-term planning, Annual Budget Planning, Monthly Rolling Forecast, Load and Revenue Plan and Product Costing Analysis to deliver high quality results
Budget control for all criteria from study load, revenue, workforce, OPEX to CAPEX
Provide financial modelling and profitability analysis for new products / business cases
Monitor and recommend corrective actions to ensure delivery of targets in both revenue and expenditure.
Co-ordinate and ensure the most up-to-date view of School / Division financial performance for current fiscal year are reflected in Rolling Forecast, highlighting operational and strategic risks and opportunities which may impact the year-end or future results
Responsible for all financial reports being accurate and available in a timely manner.
Responsible in providing Business Partners monthly and annual financial reports with deep-dive analysis, ensuring accurate and relevant financial actual, budget and forecast information to help steer business in the right direction and adapt to internal and external challenges.
Provide product costing reports and analysis, highlighting gaps between planned and actual product profitability and work with Business Partners to identify reasons and corrective actions if needed
Business Advisory
Act as Finance & Governance contact point to provide advice on commercial issues at School / Division
Advise on relevant process, policy and procedure as needed
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance and adherence to financial reporting standards that the University adopt.
Identify, recommend and implement areas of improvement for the assigned School / Division
Identify and monitor business risks and opportunities on a real-time basis, develop and initiate action plans to address identified gaps
Proactively contribute to the development of the strategy of Finance & Governance

OUR REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent is desirable. A Professional certification (CMA, CFA, CPA ) is also desirable.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis in medium or large-sized multinational organizations
Maturity, strong leadership and effective stakeholder management skills in matrix environment
Demonstrated experience in producing comprehensive, high-impact financial and business analyses that can influence business strategies and decisions
Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and change management
Result-oriented, self-starter and effective problem-solver that quickly grasps tasks, operate independently and delivery quality results with minimal supervision
Strong financial modeling and data analytical skills
Ability to derive insights and opportunities from complex data sources, work with detail, analyze data in an organized and objective manner and determine actions based on data analytics and insights
Ability to respond to multiple changing priorities while demonstrating sound judgment and exercising prudent decision making
Proven capability to lead projects and teams, to work collaboratively with and effectively manage key stakeholders at all levels and functions
Proven capability to drive and manage change in a difficult environment, with a strong can do , customer-focused and result-oriented mindset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to develop and deliver presentations

English proficiency requirements
If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at an Advanced level (Linguaskill (Business) 170 or equivalent).
RMIT Vietnam will organise a Linguaskill test for you to assess your level of English before proceeding with an offer.
