ABB’s Industrial Automation Division provides modern solutions for various types of industries. The division consists of seven business units : Oil, Gas and Chemicals (IAOG), Process Industries (IAPI), Marine and Ports (IAMP), Turbocharging (IATU), Control Technologies (IACT), Power Generation (IAPG) and Measurement and Analytics (IAMA).

The main focus of this ABB business is to provide customers with products and solutions for instrumentation, analytics of industrial processes.

The industries served include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals and minerals, marine and turbocharging.

Key customer benefits include improved asset productivity and energy savings.

Tasks :

ABB Vietnam currently has an opportunity for Technical Sales Engineer who would be responsible for technical sales of measurement and analytics products.

Based at Ho Chi Minh city and reporting to Local Business Unit Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to :

  • Define (volume, prices and portfolio) targets and ensure achievement of the same.
  • Drive the growth from top line from each target industry segment.
  • Apply the knowledge of industrial processes and provide technical support during the technical meeting, product presentation and negotiations.
  • Creates, implements and reviews Measurement & Analytics segment strategy.
  • Activate operational intelligence, benchmarking and analysis to identify best processes, equipment and automation practices.
  • Ensure development and communication of measurement and analytics value proposition.
  • Ensure that the major accounts are identified and prioritized by mapping market requirements and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and educate customers and stakeholders about ABB’s Measurement and Analytics products.
  • Help negotiate the legal contracts and commercial international frame agreements.
  • Use standard reporting Sales-Force-Dot-Com (SFDC) tools to accurately identify future opportunities and measure progress by segment.
  • Develop strong coordination and collaboration within internal team.
  • Requirements :

    To be considered for this role you should have,

  • Bachelors’ degree in a technical field, preferably analytical, instrumentation or electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in sales, marketing and / or service of the Water, Oil & Gas, Power plant, Cement, Chemical, Petrochemical, Steel industry.
  • Solid understanding of MA products, application, solution and level technology and markets.
  • Product knowledge about Flow meters, Pressure, Level, Temperatures, Force measurement, Liquid analyzer, Gas analyzer, Control valve, Recorder and Controller, Service, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge about ABB’s measurement and analytical products and system is an advantage.
