PRODUCTION :
Organize production with BOMs and QC Checklists
Create and manage the Production timeline and constantly update the schedule as needed
Report all exceptions and issues in the shared calendar
Propose / recommend improvement solutions in re-arranging production process
Ensure suppliers are staying on track for on-time delivery
Manage quarterly Master Cost / MOQ file with Finance Manager
Obtaining custom quotes for the US and UK (always comparing at least 2 suppliers)
Receiving custom quote requests from the UK office, obtaining quotes quickly / efficiently and keeping a custom quotes spreadsheet
Co-ordinate with Furniture Draftsman as well as support production team to develop new / custom designs, make evaluation and studying a new product
Daily follow up with suppliers to keep track of production status and problem solving
Control and analyze production activities to make improvement for cost efficiency to maximize productivity, give suggestionsto reduce the production cost
Ongoing reportingof production status to UK head office to Operations Director
Overseeconstruction of custom pieces and custom color matching
Manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Controlprocess
Manage quality control of packaging before shipping for custom pieces
Technical consultantto factories
Ensure AutoCAD drawings are correct and updated
Weekly production meetingswith London to review production schedule
Work with Office Manager to ensure Head Office in London receives constant updates
Manage QC Manager and the entire production team
Conduct production training for production team to increase company productivity
Other duties as assigned
DEVELOPMENT :
Develop new productswith suppliers
Develop new systemsto ensure the production process is optimized
Negotiate best pricesfor custom orders
Coordinating between suppliers for correct and smooth product development
Finding new suppliers and sourcing materials
Work closely and strongly with suppliers and their staff
RELATIONSHIP WITH SUPPLIER :
Utilize network within the industry to ensure TLC is working with the best suppliers and make new introductions
Maintain relationshipswith existing suppliers for the best quality and prices
Ensure the suppliers meet TLC’s high quality standards
Discuss production problemswith suppliers and secure credit notes
Build a positive working environment by giving example through good manners and effective communication
Understanding the full capabilities of each supplier

Reply to all emails within 24 hours
As we have our office in the UK, some flexibility is required with the different time zones. Please be able to communicate sometimes during UK business hours.
REQUIREMENTS
American / British working style
Provide all custom quotes within 3 working days
Provide AutoCAD drawings within 2 working days (drawings done by Draftsman)
Work both in the office and at factory
1. Experience :
At least 8 years experience in manufacturing and a minimum of 5 years in a management position
Experience in furniture construction is a PLUS
Experience working with US, UK or Europe based companies is a PLUS
Experience working with subcontractors
Experience with MDF / HDF and Metal (inox and brass)
Well organized in PLANNING production
Team-leadership, persuasiveness, adaptability
Excellent in English
Ability to make sound decisions
Able to work under high pressure to meet tight deadlines
Male, from around 35 years old
2. Knowledge of :
Able to advise on technical furniture construction
Furniture Quality Control
Furniture materials (especially lacquer) is a PLUS
Able to read and understand technical drawings (AutoCAD drawings)
