Job Purpose

This role is to conduct consumer research projects to support business decision-making within the Prudential Viet Nam Assurance.

Job Responsibilities

Out-source based projects :

  • Communicate effectively with internal stake-holders to obtain the adequate information before advising them with the appropriate research methodologies
  • Evaluate research agencies’ proposals and make the decision to choose the commissioned agency based on their most-suitable research approach, competitive cost and timing
  • Implement and supervise consumer research projects within time and budget
  • Effectively manage consumer research suppliers (e.g. research agencies) to ensure the high quality of the deliverables and cost efficiency with minimum supervision of line manager
  • In-house based projects :

  • Communicate effectively with internal stake-holders to obtain the adequate information before advising them with the appropriate research methodologies
  • Design the proper research approach (qualitative one or quantitative one) to address the internal stake-holders’ business objectives
  • Implement consumer research projects within time and budget : design the questionnaire / discussion guide, conduct focus group discussion / individual (qualitative) or face-to-face interview (quantitative), reporting & present the key findings of the studies with minimum supervision of line manager
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing
  • Minimum 3 experience year of Market Research in a client side or research agency (preferably)
  • Knowledge and skill

  • Adequate knowledge of various research types and methodologies (e.g. FGD, IDI, in-home visit, U&A quantitative studies, concept test, product test etc.)
  • Capacity to develop discussion guide and conduct simple FGDs / IDIs, reporting
  • Capacity to design questionnaire and conduct paper & pen interviews / online interviews, reporting
  • Be proficient in spoken & written English
  • Very good in Microsoft Office
  • A proactive problem solver

  • Responsible self-starter, attention to detail and capable of working under pressure
  • Capacity to manage logistics and resources of research projects
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and agencies
