Advanced degree required, preferably an MBA or Master’s degree from a tier-1 institute with outstanding academic record
3-8 years of experience with a distinctive record of professional achievement and impact preferably either in financial services firms or ideally in FI consulting
Preferred financial institution experience would be related to Retail, SME commercial banking, Wealth & Asset management with functional expertise across business management, strategy or transformation, sales analytics, credit modelling and analyses or data analytics
Experience in working with cross-functional teams, and in-depth of knowledge involvement in helping frame, design and execute solutions for challenging business situations will be highly relevant
Ease in approaching issues from a top management view and discussing them in the overall context of a business
Ability to absorb rapidly and grapple with a wide range of complex business issues.
Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses and actionable recommendations from data and analysis
Hands-on in conducting analyses and adept with typical analytical tools like excel, etc. complemented by a practical sense of what works in a complex organization
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams to collectively deliver solutions in complex and high demand situations
Able to help coach and guide and new colleagues and introduce expert-based capabilities and knowledge within the team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially directed to senior executive audience
Good understanding of the business models and value drivers, and industry contexts of one or more sectors of financial institutions : public or private-sector banks, asset management, credit card and payment companies and regulatory bodies

You’ll work in our Southeast Asia Office between Jakarta and Hanoi focusing on delivering deep expertise on select transformation topics to Asia banking clients.
What You'll Do
You’ll focus on building expertise on select transformation themes in the banking industry and accelerating client impact by delivering your expertise in line with clients’ needs.
In this roe your priorities will include broad-based retail, SME banking and Wealth & Asset management transformations, driving digital and analytics transformation and building capabilities.
You will work as part of client service teams to consult top management at client organizations in engagements that deliver transformational impact at scale.
You will lead agreed workstreams, drive day-to-day analyses and problem-solving, and manage junior consultants and client project teams where necessary for your workstreams.
Additionally, as a member of McKinsey’s global network, you will integrate insights from internal and external specialists as well as develop expertise and thought-leadership in select transformation topics.
You will be an important source of intellectual insights on a client engagement, help frame business problems in a way that the team can then execute to drive impact and client value.
You will help develop distinctive proprietary knowledge and tools on select topics of client interest and build-up the banking knowledge base in Asia.
You will support Asia Banking leadership in identifying and developing new client opportunities to advise them on business transformations and capability building.
You will bring in deep functional knowledge and proprietary tools to every client development situation
