Job Description
Provide legal assistance and support to the management and relevant departments to protect the company’s interests and ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulations
Advise the management on all legal matters and on potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the company
Ensure all corporate documents, licenses, permits are valid and up to date at all time and in line with the current law and business operation of the company;
monitor the permitting process of the company
Provide guidance on and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations applicable to the business; identify and monitor all reporting requirements of the company with respect to relevant law and regulations, notably mining, environmental, health and safety regulations
Work with the management to establish and implement the company’s internal policies and procedures
Assist in negotiation, drafting and discussion of contracts; draft and review legal documents, tender documents and relevant documents
Identify issues that need outside legal services / support, retain and manage external legal resources
Support the company in all litigation matters, represent the company if required in legal proceedings before the courts, government agencies, or other authorities
Liaise and maintain working relationship with relevant government bodies, authorities and agencies

Requirements
Graduate law degree; master degree and / or lawyer professional certificate is a plus
Broad hands-on knowledge and understanding of the business aspects in a complex corporate environment; prefferably 8 years of relevant legal profession experience in foreign invested corporations or law firms;
a mix of law firm and in-house experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English (written and spoken)
Strong analytical skills; ability to anticipate legal issues and risks
