Purpose :

  • Independentlymanage all quality and production aspects and (together with ME& SEA functional counterparts) drive day-to-
  • day efficiency andSEA topics

  • Fully responsible forquality in production and for driving manufacturing efficiencytargets and Social & Environmental Affairs (SEA) in thedesignated production area.
  • DriveTechnical Strategy with respective suppliers to deliver world classproducts that meet customerspecifications / requirements.
  • KeyResponsibilities : Quality


  • Managerelationship with factory top management (Head of Production &Head of Quality) with support from Production Team Leader, SeniorProduction Manager, and ME team in implementing ME key initiativesand quality tools in daily productionoperations
  • Manage junior team members andcontribute considerably to the achievement of team objectivesensuring that quality is the paramount priority andfocus.
  • Influence factory production / quality middle management and drive change to achieve productionobjectives.
  • Make day to day decisionswithin defined scope with limited support on resolution of complexproduction issues
  • Aligned with globaltechnical and quality direction to ensure products meet the definedadidas Group standards.
  • Support thetimely resolution of technical and quality issues to achievequality and delivery objectives.
  • Driveeffective communication with Creation Centres, Development,Material and Production, external suppliers and internal businesspartners in collaboration with Senior Manager Technical Services,Director, Technical Service to resolve quality problems, includingtimely communication of deliveryrisks.
  • Implements best practices,programs and tools for supplier development according to GASAmilestones and overall sourcing and business strategy to achievecontinuous improvement of product quality and productionperformance.
  • Direct technicaltesting support for Production department within Liaison Officeincluding wash, print and colour testing as well as reporting andcoordinating timely testing scheduling in conjunction with the LOmaterial teams.
  • Support sampling processfor product development as proscribed by current process (i.e.,Proto Sample to Size Set Sample).
  • Drivethe continuous assessment and upgrade of technicians’ competenciesthrough the implementation of global training programs to ensure ahigh level of technical capabilities within theLO.
  • Organise and supervise randomaudits of T1s within the supply base on performance of accreditedtechnicians and QCs.
  • Provide technicalsupport for the on-boarding of new suppliers to ensure adherence toadidas Group standards andpolicies.
  • Ensure accurate and timelycompilation of all quality reports.
  • Drive& support to ensure suppliers meet all key quality milestones& KPIs including monthly analysis on quality performance, withclear action plans andfollow-up.
  • ME / MI

    Withsupport from ME manager :

  • DriveME targets in daily operations and provide alert to Senior Sourcing& ME Directors as to any efficiency challenges encountered orprojected
  • Collaborate on action plans fordriving efficiency improvements and drive the implementation ofagreed action plans in dailyoperations
  • Delivery

  • Checksthe labeling and packaging complies with customerrequirements
  • Assist Production andPlanning Managers in monitoring production flow(WIP)
  • Provide input into capacityvalidation and roadmap discussions per request from Planningteam
  • Maintainsa positive factory relationship via proper communication, andpositive attitude
  • Drive factorycompliance to adidas SOE (Standards of Engagement) and reportsobserved violations to SEA team. Ensures manufacturers comply withfire and health and safety regulations, reports back and follows upon any short-comings andabuses.

  • Independentlyability to identify issues, analyse facts and make correctdecisions regarding complex production issues without underminingany required standards
  • Strong managementand leadership skills
  • Able to communicateconfidently in English (speaking, writing,reading).
  • Chinese (for communication withFactory teams) a clear advantage
  • Acomprehensive knowledge of garment construction, fit, sewing andproductionmanagement
  • RequisiteEducation and Experience / MinimumQualifications :

  • Four-yearcollege or university degree with focus on Textile Technology orTextile Engineering, or equivalent related technical experience inthe areas of colour, printing andwashing
  • Minimum five year experience intextile manufacturing or technologies, preferably withinAsia.
  • Experience in garment quality,knitting, printing
  • Work well under highpressure
  • Good communication andinterpersonal skills
  • GoodIT- / EDP-skills
